Your audiologist is going to help you take into consideration your diagnosis, treatment plan, and budget to find the best hearing aids for you.

If you opt for custom hearing aids, this appointment may also be used to create a mold to your ear or otherwise gather the specifications necessary to ensure that your hearing aids fit perfectly. Since custom hearing aids must be ordered from the manufacturer, you will need to wait a few days before they are ready for you.

Finally, once you have chosen the hearing aids for you, your doctor will walk you through everything you need to know about operating and maintaining them for maximum effectiveness. At a follow-up appointment in the near future, you’ll have the opportunity to let your audiologist know how your hearing aids are working out for you.
